Jacob Winiecki is a Senior Program Specialist at Arc Finance. In this capacity, Jacob focuses on developing and scaling new energy lending programs within financial institutions that offer end-users the opportunity to get small loans to purchase of modern, clean energy alternatives. He is currently managing Arc Finance projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, the Philippines, and India.

Prior to joining Arc Finance, Jacob was a Program Officer with Sustainable Energy Solutions providing research, technical backstopping, and policy support services to projects focused on energy as a means for poverty reduction. He has field experience in India, the Philippines, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda working on energy-access projects with clients including the United Nations Development Programme, the European Union Energy Initiative, the Millennium Villages Project, and several microfinance institutions. Jacob has also managed environmental projects with a wide range of clients, including the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the United Nations Global Compact Office, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Earth Institute at Columbia University.

Jacob graduated from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in 2005 with a master's of public administration degree in environmental science and policy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in financial accounting from George Mason University.
