Vanessa Ward handles communications for Arc Finance. Vanessa has more than 15 years of experience in microfinance and sustainable energy. In addition to her work with Arc, Vanessa is a communications consultant for the World Bank’s microfinance policy and research center, the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), and was a Communications Programme Manager for the United Nations International Year of Microcredit 2005. Vanessa has also supported the communications initiatives of the United Nations Office of Project Services; and the global microfinance network, Women’s World Banking; and worked as an associate producer on a documentary television series filmed in conjunction with the UN.
Vanessa began her career as an intern for Dr. RK Pachauri at the then-named Tata Energy Research Institute in New Delhi, India, and subsequently served as a research associate in the Energy Program of the Natural Resources Defense Council. Vanessa is a graduate of Harvard University.
